The Spike Video Game Awards (VGA) is an award show hosted by Spike TV that recognizes the best computer and video games of the year. Started in 2003, the Spike TV Video Game Awards garnered much attention, since video game awards were not common prior to its introduction. The VGAs feature live music performances and appearances by popular performers in music, movies, and television. Additionally, preview trailers for upcoming games are highlighted. Frequently hosted by Samuel L. Jackson, the show is produced by Geoff Keighley. The event has been held at various locations in Los Angeles and Santa Monica, California as well as Las Vegas, Nevada. The Awards show has encountered criticism of its selection of both nominees and winners by the gaming community. Bias for specific platforms and products has been claimed by critics. Additionally, winners are selected via online polling leading to critics calling the results merely a “popularity contest”. The 2009 VGAs were held on December 12, 2009 at the LA Live complex in Los Angeles, California and were the first VGAs to not have an overall host. There were exclusive looks at Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, UFC 2010 Undisputed, Halo: Reach, and a few other exclusive looks. Samuel L. Jackson previewed LucasArts newest upcoming Star Wars game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. In addition, Green Day: Rock Band was announced and accompanied with a trailer. With appearances from Stevie Wonder, MTV Jersey Shore cast, Green Day and Jack Black, live music performances at the 2009 awards included Snoop Dogg and The Bravery.

maybe this is unimportant cause everybody knows, but for those who never heard from the new security setting for steam which came with the last client update:
start Steam -> File -> Account -> Verifying Email adress
So if somebody get ure Steam account data, he cant change ur email adress and pw from ure steam account until he click on a verifikation link, which will send to ure verifikated email adress.
ofc u dont have the same email data and pw like steam xD
if u have a problem with the 'verifikate email adress' button,
change to ure original steam skin. otherwise its buggy.

Mozilla Firefox 1-Milliarde-Hürde wird heute durchbrochen
Die Entwickler des freien Firefox-Browsers haben schon wieder Grund zum Feiern. Am heutigen Freitag soll die nächste Rekordmarke durchbrochen werden.
Mit dem milliardsten Download ist gegen 17 Uhr (MESZ) zu rechnen, so Mozilla. Natürlich lässt sich der genaue Zeitpunkt nur abschätzen und nicht konkret vorhersagen. Am heutigen Freitag soll es aber in jedem Fall so weit sein. Aufgrund des freudigen Anlasses will Mozilla eine virtuelle Fete mit allen Anhängern auf onebillionplusyou.com feiern.
Den Stand der Dinge kann man auf verschiedene Weisen einsehen. Eine recht aktuelle Möglichkeit wäre beispielsweise Twitter. Unter dem Nicknamen "FirefoxCounter" werden in regelmäßigen Abständen die Statistiken verkündet. Aktuell steht der Counter bei 999,935,615 Downloads. Alternativ kann man auch den "Guesstimator" um Auskunft fragen. Auf dieser Webseite kann man die nächste Rekordmarke berechnen, oder viel mehr schätzen, lassen.
In die stattliche Zahl von einer Milliarde fließen alle Downloads seit dem Startschuss von Firefox 1.0 im November 2004 ein. Firefox, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla, Billion Downloads, Milliarde Downloads, onebillionandyouDamals hatte man den Entschluss gefasst, eine Alternative zum damals stark dominierenden Internet Explorer zu schaffen. Innerhalb von kurzer Zeit zeichneten sich erste Erfolge ab. Mittlerweile greifen knapp 30 Prozent aller Internet-Benutzer zum freien und quelloffenen Browser aus der Mozilla-Schmiede. Insgesamt zeigen sich die Entwickler sichtlich von ihrer Arbeit erfreut. Der Durchbruch einer beachtlichen Hürde von einer Milliarde Downloads und eine immer größer werdende Usergemeinde liefern ihnen auch allen Grund zur Freude. (gS-)

Aliens vs. Predator ist der erste Teil einer von Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising lizenzierten Aliens-Reihe. Entwickelt wird das Spiel vom britischen Entwickler Rebellion, der bereits für den Original-PC-Spieleklassiker aus dem Jahre 1999 verantwortlich war, und soll für PS3, Xbox 360 und PC erscheinen.
Alliens vs. Predator zeigt die Kämpfe der beiden Figuren aus der Science-Fiction-Szene und bietet drei Einzelspieler-Kampagnen sowie unzählige Stunden an frischem Multiplayer-Spaß in drei verschiedenen Modi. Das Spiel bietet euch die Möglichkeit in die Rolle der drei Spezies Colonial Marine, Predator und Alien zu schlüpfen, die jeweils eine eigene Kampagne bekommen, die wiederum stark miteinander verknüpft sind.
* In der Rolle eines Marines wirst du eine klaustrophobische und erschreckende Erfahrung machen. In diesem Abenteuer wirst du das Licht zu schätzen lernen, denn davon wird es nie genug geben. Die US-Marine-Corps sind die letzte Hoffnung der Menschheit, und daher bis an die Zähne mit den neuesten Sprengstoffen und Automatikwaffen ausgerüstet.
* Als Predator kannst du dich im Schatten verbergen oder von oben angreifen, während du dich athletisch durch die Baumwipfel bewegst.. Obwohl du mit einer Reihe leistungsstarker und exotischer Waffen sowie einem Ortungssystem ausgestattet bist, befiehlt es die Ehre, dass du deine Trophäen nur über den Nahkampf erbeutest.
* Schlüpfe in die Rolle des Aliens und bereite deinen Gegner, als tödlichstes Wesen im Universum, die schlimmsten Albträume. Werde zum Monster in der Dunkelheit, das mit unzähligen Gefährten ausschwärmt, um die Gegner mit den Kiefern und messerscharfen Klauen anzugreifen.
Die Story ist recht schnell erzählt: Auf dem Planeten BG-386 entdecken mehrere Minenarbeiter eine alte Pyramide, die - welche Überraschung - ein Geheimnis verbirgt. Nachdem ein Kriegervolk von der Entdeckung in Kenntnis gesetzt wurde, soll ein entsandter Jagdtrupp sicherstellen, dass die Pyramide versiegelt bleibt. Währenddessen erwacht im inneren der Pyramide eine bösartige Macht aus ihrem Jahrhunderte andauernden Schlaf.
