hi guys.
I saw your post on how to do a quick fix to get the chat working again .""thanks for that it was easy to do"" 8)
BUT does anyone have any idea how I can make the spam sounds work properly again.At the moment we use mani admin plugin and a standard dm server using the player say system. fyck over at kc had a new script done after the last time valve broke the chat for us but even that seems to be very hit and miss.

Any help on this would be much appreciated :oops: :oops:

ps. sorry I havent been in here for a while but I am trying to find some ideas to advertise my clan as things seem to have slowed down alot :( :(

i dont think so he wrote his own but its not relevent now as his is also stuffed this time :(

I'd like to say thanks to DYNAS for the links and info on getting the [ TSF ] server sorted ...

Kc| RAVAGE has spent a couple of hours tonight getting the matti scripts updated for me as it was probably a little beyond me :oops: :oops:
and with some other bits n peices we now have the chat working and most of our sounds too.
With a bit more testing and a few more mods hopfully everything will be back to normal soon... :D :D

Hey guys!

Seeing you pointed us in the right direction of this script whilst steam broke the chat window, I just wanted to return the favour by saying I did a quick mod to the script that you might find useful.

Because the player chat window is broken unless your using rechat sript, if a player says a sound like "ll" the text didnt appear. I've added it so it does appear.

I've also set up a new variable say_sounds_showtext that can change whether the line "Player played sound xxx" is displayed:
if set to zero this is hidden
if set to 1 the admin plays are displayed
if set to 2 every say sound line is shown (default/how say_sounds normally works))

Nice tweaks.

I just dont know if we'll have a time to play with it. We are migrating to SourceMod to replace Mani and Mattie.
